We are brand new to Docebo and APIs getting ready to launch our new LMS. We’ve run into issues where we need to use content from two different content providers (Aspire and HealthStream/CE Unlimited), and we can’t pull their content into Docebo. We would like to have centralized reporting in Docebo. For CE Unlimited, they provide a nightly report through their EFT site. I’m not sure about Aspire yet. Is there a way to set up an automation that would pull the completion report and feed it into Docebo so learners can see all of their completions in Docebo?

Hi all, We are moving to Okta for our user provisioning and have been running into a few issues with our IT team. It sounds like Okta is not integrated for this purpose (idea pending) but I’m curious. Who else is using Okta for this and how are you doing it so that you can get all the correct fields mapped into the system?Thanks, D’Arcy 

Hi there I’d love if anyone has an answer for this question below. Tried reaching out to help chat but didn’t really get a proper answer. Via the API how can we edit the LEARNER’s learning plan end date? Assume a learning plan expires after 6 months and if the user purchases a extension for another 4 months how can we streamline this to make it automatic via the APIs to update the user’s learning plan end date? I know we can manually do this via the learning plan tab in the admin portal but I am looking for an automatic way.  Would love any feedback. Thanks. 

I’m struggling a bit with the API documentation.  There are many API calls that leverage the numeric value for field options that are only text-based in the platform, documentation, and help.  For example, “Level” for a course.  I know the options are student (don’t get me started about why it’s “Learner” in the frontend dropdown lists but “student” if you’re using CSV), tutor, instructor.  BUT...which is which numeric value?  I can’t find it ANYWHERE in the resources.  Same thing for “status” I know the options are subscribed, enrolled, in progress, completed, etc.  but what number goes with each status?  If someone can please point me to the place where these lookup values are hidden, I would greatly appreciate it.

Tried to take it up with Docebo Support who said it was an issue with Zoom and Zoom Support telling me it must be an issue with the way Docebo makes the link. Is anyone else using the newer Webex Control Hub? We’ve made the jump and are having issues with syncing errors in the LMS now. All of the fields appear to match. We made the transition on Monday and had errors all day. Apparently, it takes times for everything to talk properly, so it was working Tuesday for about 3 hours, then stopped working all of a sudden. Anyone else have any experience with this?

Saw a couple of ideas and posts lately about allowing reports to have information about the courses within a catalog. [TLDR]: Does anyone have guidance on how to build a custom solution in order to integrate Docebo with Google Calendar?  Hi All, I hope you’re having a 1 cup of coffee/tea day (as opposed to a 4 cup day)! I want to integrate Docebo with Google Calendar to automatically add calendar events when a user is enrolled in a course or ILT session. I’d like the calendar events to live on the users’ primary calendars, so that they will be visible to other people within my organization, like their managers. I’d also like the calendar events to be automatically updated if there are any changes made to the course or ILT session, within Docebo.Docebo Connect is expensive, so I’m exploring the technical route, via webhooks and APIs. I make an api call to get a Learning Object /learn/v1/lo/98 but I’m getting an error as below. Strange thing is that this works when retrieving Learning Objects for other courses so it’s not my permission level which is Superadmin. I have some news for those of you who are using Udemy and Docebo. Previously I used to use Tray.io; we moved our connection from tray.io to Docebo connect. I couldn’t be any happier. Daniele and Stefania from Docebo have done a fantastic job. If you want to have a tour give me a shout. 

We’ve an issue with our previously-built quizzes.  They’re designed to be pass/fail, with one attempt only.  We’re using Articulate Storyline for our quizzes.  Within Storyline, the activity is set to pass/fail. Feedback from the activity shows “You did not pass the exam” within the quiz.The LMS then shows that the lesson was failed, but there is a “back to lesson” option.If we ignore this button and close the activity, it shows up as an “In Progress" activity. From there, the designer is prompted to resume:  This takes you back to the You Have Failed screen above. It still says "back to lesson," and that link is active. And takes you to Resume.If he chooses “no,” it appears to erase all his answers, so apparently, hecan start the test all over again.Hoping that someone might have ideas or suggestions; as it stands, if it’s confusing and ambigious for us, it likely will be for our learners as well!  8^)

We are trying to create a url that a user can select to view a course. The user should not need to be enrolled in the course in order to view the course. We are currently using the Docebo deeplink from the course to create the url,example url - 'https://xxxx.docebosaas.com/learn/course/568/Week Two - Rep Onboarding?hash=abc12345'. This works for Superadmins regardless of whether or not they are enrolled in the course. For non Superadmins, you need to be enrolled in the course in order for the link to work. Non Superadmins receive a 403 error when selecting the link. We have noticed that if you generate a sharable link from Docebo a non Superadmin can successfully view the course.A Docebo sharable link has this format 'https://xxxx.docebosaas.com/learn/course/568/Week Two - Rep Onboarding?generated_by=12345&hash=xyz98765'. We are looking to assign pre-work to new hires prior to their start date and were wondering best practices for this process. We currently use Workday and are using a single sign on and are running into issues assigning a field as they change from pre-hire to regular hire. Wondering if anyone has done this before while onboarding? 

Does anyone know if Docebo has an integration with digital badging vendors like Credly,  Accredible. Badgecert etc for the certifications part of the platform? We manually enter certifications for our partners that have completed and passed an exam (not for completing the course for the exam). They take the test outside of the system with ClassMarker which only gives a certificate pdf and does not integrate with any of those vendors.We are wondering when we enter the certification for a user, can Docebo then trigger a digital badge from Credly or Accredible to be sent to that user with the dates that we put in certifications for when they received the certification and the expiration date? 

Hello, My organization uses Docebo on a custom HTTPS domain. We basically follow the steps outlined by Docebo, here. Manually rotating certificates has become a pain point, it’s hard to pin down ownership and our team generally avoids repetitive manual tasks. As it stands now, we delete and upload a new cert on a regular cadence. Seems like a perfect opportunity for some automation.  Is there any API endpoint to rotate TLS/SSL certificates?

What is the best API call to get all the courses that have a specific value in an "additional_field".For example we have created an additional field named “MGR_APRVL_REQD”.  When the course is created the “MGR_APRVL_REQD” is set to “Yes”.  I need to use an API call to get all the courses where this field = “Yes”.Which API Call would work the best?   And what does the JSON call look like?  Thanks in advance for sharing.

Hello, there!We’ve recently discovered that our platform has been auto-generating tags for all of our training materials, and this has caused us to now have 4500+ tags that are highly inappropriate or invalid, causing our search functions to be abhorrent at best, absolutely useless at worst. I’ve seen some conversations about using Postman to remove them en-mass, as I do have the ID for the ones I need to delete, but short of entering 1 in at a time to remove each one individually I’m struggling to figure out how to remove multiple at once. Has anyone discovered the best way to do so? 

I are using Docebo LTI to launch courses in an external platform. After adding a LTI Training Materials to courses via the Docebo portal I can catch the SSO calls made by the course in our API.  What Docebo passes back (aside from auth data) is a resource_link_id which is perfect.  But I can’t find any additional information about the user or the resource requested.Does anyone know how to get Enrollment, Course or User ids using the resource link?  Other LMS’s we’ve integrated with either pass these values as part of the LTI SSO call or provide a resource endpoint where the resource link ID can be used to get all the information needed about the SSO call.  But Doecebo does not seem to provide these (that I can find in the API Explorer). There isn’t much in terms of documentation when it comes to LTI via the Docebo API that I’ve been able to find other than the fact that it’s supported.

Does anyone know which API endpoint is used to upload LTI Training Materials via the Docebo API. I can’t find anything for LTI in the API Explorer. We can successfully upload courses and categorize them correctly but cannot find the endpoint for uploading training materials.  We can add LTI via the portal but there are hundreds of courses so API is required.  This is our first time using Docebo and the documentation seems to be pretty scattered. 

Since there seemed to be heavy interest this week in bulk deletion of Tags, and since it is downpouring outside again, I threw together a new management tool over on Fark.Tools this morning, dedicated to tags!The tool will give you a table of existing tags and their Docebo ID. You can easily export this table to a CSV. You can also select any tags in the table and simply click delete. If you prefer to work with the CSV files and then upload one to delete in bulk….you can do that too.Due to the speed of this beta, limited testing was done, hoping some of y’all might have some needs to try out. I would love an API expert to help me create a way to extend learning plan expiration dates. Ideally I would like to have a product in Woocommerce that would allow students to purchase a 30 day extension.
