Design inspiration: Creative ways of using your platform

Hey Everyone! I have huge ideas for what I’d like to do with our platform, but I’m always interested in seeing the creative and unique ways others are using theirs. I’d love to hear AND see cools ways you have designed, unique ideas of utilizing your channels and pages. One of the most helpful tools that we have used is a google calendar integrated on a separate page, that allows people to register for GoTo Training Sessions. This was a work around after the platform stopped supporting GoTo. I know this isn’t super creative or unique, but it has been a great help! I’d love to hear your unique platform ideas and uses!

Pages/Menu Ideas

Hello! We are looking to redesign our leaner and manager dashboards to be more visually appealing and still meet the learners needs. Looking to see what you have all done. For Managers- does anyone know how to get overdue training to show on the dashboard without having to click into My Team to see what their associates are late on? For Instructors - does anyone have a page specific to instructors and what do you find instructors like to see most? We have over 300 instructors that teach a variety of different items and currently they don’t have their own dashboard. Thank you!!

Recently I’ve been looking for enhancements and efficiencies on our pages and menus. I am currently in the brainstorming process of what to put in our “pancake” menu (you know the three little lines in the upper left corner! Where does the recording from an ILT session go after completed? We use teams and am not able to locate where the recording went after we ended it.

Custom Reports?

I can see another unanswered question about custom reports so it may be its just not possible. Basically I'm struggling to get the custom reports give me what I want. Ideally these are the reports i want. Weekly report showing me courses scheduled for the next 3 weeks and how many enrolments on each course Courses that are scheduled that have less than 5 enrolments (any time) Possible? We have monday morning meetings to look at up and coming scheduled courses and it would be good not to have to go through each course one by one to check enrolments etc.

Animations on Homepages

Got some animations to work via html widgets and gifs. Gifs are limited to 1 loop, so they only play once. Currently have it on our Superadmin dashboard, and thought I’d share My screen recorder didn’t capture the frames as high as they actually are, but you get the point!

Examples of Course Descriptions

Is anyone willing to share a screen shot of your course description area? We currently have the following info in the description: description of the course prereqs for the course course objectives accreditation info It’s all text. We’re considering adding some formatting with HTML or graphics. I’m interesting in seeing some examples of others that have just a single text description in their description area. thanks!

Please Share Your Channels UX/ Page Design

Our team has been using channels for years now, and we have a number of different channels at this point. As a result, our “All Channels” page takes ages to load, and it’s pretty much impossible to get everything to load. So we are taking on a project to reimagine how we are currently doing channels. We are thinking making multiple custom pages as opposed to using the All Channels page, or something like that. I was hoping some of you who have a good channels set up might want to share what you’re doing! Extra points if you can share some screenshots, as well. Thanks for any thoughts/ideas!!

Wire Transfer payment option - what is it good for?

Using Wire Transfer payment method to mimic invoicing… When we first launched eCommerce, we found that there was no option that would allow us to BILL our customers. We had a look at the Wire Transfer method and found that with a little tweaking, we could use this to mimic the invoicing process. when a user checks out and selects the WT option, the transactions and access to the course remains in a “pending” status until the admin marks it as PAID. We use the eCommerce Transaction report to export our transactions and send them over to accounting system via ftp (this part is optional and requires an accounting system that allows this type of connection or some kind of import tool). The Tweaks: added some Additional Fields to the user profiles to capture information needed by the accounting system updated WT labels in Localization with language that better fits and invoice method created an internal process to regularly manage pending transactions and mark them as PAID Using the WT noti

We are a Utility Company for Gas and Electric Services for the city. We maintain the Electricity and Gas for our Customers. With that said we have lots of people who work in the field who have to Qualify to perform certain tasks. We call that Operation Qualifications. Basically if you haven't passed what we call a KNT online course and shown by means of a PEF (Performance Evaluation - someone seen you do the task in person) then you can't do the task. We maintain this information on who is qualified to do such a task and reports are ran daily to show the information that is updated. People have to requalify depending on the task either every 12 months, 24 months, 36 months, 60 months.

Success devloping custom notification email using BeeFree

Hello all, I’d like to share some success I have had creating custom notification emails with https://beefree.io/, and then porting these into Docebo. Below is a screenshot of an email that uses the [COURSE_LINK] shortcode, among others. As our users access our platform via Single Sign-on/OKTA, all of the links used here take our users straight to the relevant content without the need to sign in. @james.buhagiar thought other Docebo customers might benefit from seeing this, so here it is! End of SCORM Survey & Reporting on Surveys

Clunky name, yes, but I’m trying to hit the SEO hard on this one. My team came to me recently and asked how we could get more data from our users. Of course, with that question always come the evaluation of barriers measured against persistence. I don’t want to add extra clicks or give the user the feeling of being surveyed. So I turned to create SCORM packages in Articulate that contained my short video with the hope that I could give them something as simple as a thumbs-up/thumbs-down evaluation at the end or a few Likert scale questions. My good friend and colleague Sean Pyle had the answers!His article “Capture Learner Data in Storyline 360” was exactly what I needed. I’m not an Articulate pro, but with my basic knowledge, I got the job done just by reading his article (and Googling a few bits on “Variables”).
