Global Payment Options
We host trainings globally and currently take payments via PayPal at the moment. However, we are running into issues and need to have each country pay in their own currency and the money flow into that country’s bank account. Does anyone use a payment method that could work for us and interfaces with Docebo? Adyen is out as we do not meet their volume requirements.
How Do You Decide What To Prune?
One of my favorite quips is“There are 10 types of people in the world; Those who understand binary and those who don’t.” When I first started at my current company - it was not long before I was asked to help lead some redesign efforts for our service school curriculum. I had went through those courses as a part of my onboarding. As a former high school teacher with experience writing curriculum - my input on what was currently being taught was now being called upon to make the courses better. As we got our teams together - one of the first questions I asked is “What is the point of this training?” “What does the learner need to know by the time the course is over?”Once we identified all the things that the learner NEEDED to know - we were able to start pruning. That can be hard for some folks but if you put something in the “Well, that would be nice know, bucket” - I am going to probably end up dumping it if it doesn’t help meet the end goal.In many cases, just like plants, curriculum
@abartunek @josefinarod mentioned using PowerBI in another post and thought it might be interesting to port over to a separate post for discussion. So first a basic question. How do you link your data up to PowerBI? Do you export and then attach the data to PowerBI? Do you use the API? Is there an integration app? I’ve been using Google Data Studio for our dashboards which I love and is super easy but obviously, it’s not a live link so I have to manually update the data every month and it’s quite tedious. I’ve also thought about using Tableau but is there a live link? I don’t use the API and am not that technical.
Webinar series design best practices: Do you find having a single course for all of the webinars (Lunch & Learn/Bites of Learning) or break it out by general topic better?
We are looking at implementing possibly several new webinar series and I’m looking for best practice advice, the “clicky clicky” on how to set it up I can figure out for myself. What I want to avoid is the “dang I wish I had done that differently” hard lesson learned, by learning from you.We are planning 2 series:1 monthly “Lunch & Learn” series that covers the software updates in our proprietary business programoffered only once a month to a closed group (pre-registered) We would like to be able to add handouts or resources as needed. I’m thinking this can be one course The second will be a weekly, 15 minute bites of learningOffered weekly Optional Open to all employees Short topics to become more efficient, professional and confident This could include anything from tricks in MS Office, Phone system, Asking questions in our University (Ask an Expert), Google Search Pro tips, time management, etc. Since this one is more all over the place, I don’t know if I should break it into

Has anyone deployed a “fake branded app”?
We are having tons of trouble with the app and branded mobile app and are considering going browser only and no longer supporting the mobile app - sadly. Has anyone built an “app” that just opens the browser based site in-app? This would give us a similar user experience for those using our current app, while avoiding the headache of the Docebo apps.
Successful Skills Launches
Hello! My company has been primarily focused on product based learning for a long time but with the growth we have seen in our company we feel it is time to add to the type of learning we provide focusing on soft skills and growth and development. I have been doing quite a bit of research into Docebo Skills and have begun a pitch deck for our upper management to review and hopefully approve for us to move forward with implementing Skills in our platform. I wanted to reach out to the community and ask you all to share with me what has made the implementation of Skills successful in your company? Have you seen an increase in retention after implementing Skills? What other measurables have you been able to leverage since implementing skills? Do you have any recommendations for e-learning content providers that isn’t Go1?I really appreciate anyone willing to take a moment to help me out with this!
Third Party Cookies and Chrome
Morning - have you all find yourselves supporting people through Chrome’s latest tightening up on third-party cookies? Where we can teach people about how to handle this annoyance,I am going to find us supporting site exceptions for the first time in a looooooong time. I can and will chat with our vendors that are seeing an impact related to it in our Docebo instance (Go1 and EasyGenerator), but I am curious from your end - are you all taking similar steps to support your clientele? It isnt the hardest teach up either: If a persons Chrome browser is showing this icon? It is not allowing third party cookies.click on the icon. click on the Site not working? link click on the Allow Cookies button
Video Creation Workflow Ideas?
We're looking at creating about 400 3-5 minute videos this year. Our current process is to record ourselves talking over a PowerPoint for the lesson videos. Instead, I'm thinking of using WellSaidLabs text-to-voice or Descript Overdub with a trained voice that can speak the scripts to an audio file. Then drop the correlating audio file onto each slide and export it to video. Done. Modifying the lesson in the future will be as easy as editing the PowerPoint or dropping in a new audio file. There's some resistance to using an AI voice. Do any of you have experience with AI text-to-speech that sounds realistic? What about using Descript Overdub? Videos I've seen where people have trained it with their voice sound impressive. I want to focus on writing good content and automating the production part as much as possible. Do you have any tips or ideas to help make this happen? Thanks!
Share SCORM or HTML from a Page NOT from a Course
I want to link to something created in Storyline or Rise from the homepage (an interactive guide to our site and possibly an interactive glossary).Has anyone done this? What is the best way to offer this?I think I can publish it as a website then use an iFrame. First I don’t know where to publish this (I don’t have a HTML server), and second I don’t want to send them outside of our Docebo site. I would prefer to keep it INSIDE to learn about the site.Second option would be to create a course for the material, enroll EVERYONE then link to that course or course content (SCORM). Is this what people do? At least it will keep them INSIDE our Docebo site.Maybe I’m trying to make this too easy and the solution is more complicated.Ideas or suggestions appreciated.I haven’t used CSS but it is on my “to learn” list, which is pretty long!
Task List Widget
Who uses the Task List widget on your pages in Docebo? We renamed it to ‘To do List’. Yes we have a ticket and has been for some time as the latency issue using the Task List Widget has become unbearable for a lot of our users (we just launched).Question...what do you use for users to see ‘Not Started’, ‘In progress’, or ‘completed’ at a quick glance? Thanks all!
How do you handle escalations?
Morning morning,So I am a point where I am considering how to pull off escalations in Docebo. And well I know how to get things to Supervisors without much fuss. But here is the question of the day - how do you escalate (within Docebo itself) certain notifications to lets say the supervisor’s supervisor?Does it comes with gotchas?
Closed caption solution
Hi all,I was just wondering if anyone has found an accurate and cost-effective solution for creating closed captions for videos. We’d like to add closed captions to all our English videos to improve accessibility and help non-native speakers understand them. If you know of a good solution, either automatic generation or contract service, please let me know! Thanks,Daniel
Sanity Check - Other best practices for retiring a course
Hey folks - as we get close to the end of the year, we are going into a curation cycle with our content.I am guiding my SMEs / catalog owners through using the course tools (in course management) to archive a course: but I am curious if yawl go through any other steps:put the course into the under maintenance remove from the current catalog put into an archived catalog (which does not sit on a page anywheres)Are there other things you do?Some things that are out of bounds:I dont want to mess with the name of the course. But I am open to:Parameterizing the validity for the course to the day it is curated out is the day it is expired. Adding an additional field (not sure of the added value) Change who can enroll a person into the course.I super wish there was a guide on just this (even though I can understand that one shoe may not fit all).
What is the best way to set up weekly recurring quizzes?
Hello! I’m wondering what is the best way to set up weekly recurring quizzes in Docebo. I have some thoughts, but I’d like to get some ideas from the community! Requirements:I’d like to keep this in a single course so that 1) the link never changes and 2) I don’t want to flood the course management with weekly courses for each quiz. I’d like to send notifications to complete the quiz every week - likely based on the learner has yet to complete course notification. Going back to my first point, I think this would require me to either 1) manually change users enrollment status from complete to enrolled every week or 2) add a secondary SCORM object that would make the course impassable. Basically, this would allow users to complete the quiz, but the course would stay in progress thereby always triggering the notification. Instead of reporting on the course, I’d report on the specific quizzes within the course using the training material report. Sample process:Create course Add week 1 qui
Background jobs backlog - Is this affecting you?
Since yesterday (Sept. 8), all our background jobs are stalled...Cannot import users, run reports, mass enrollments, etc. All seems to be ‘stuck’. We logged a ticket and it has been escalated, etc. Just wondering who else may be experiencing this issue and what if anything you are doing to mitigate this serious service issue. We sent out an alert to all our PU’s to ask them to refrain from logging any new jobs and have aborted all current jobs. This will surely be frustrating for many and will cause some disruptions I’m sure. Thanks all.
Can a power user with course permissions upload from the central repository?
Our content team needs to assign items from our course repository, but it doesn’t seem to be an option that I can find anywhere when setting up the profiles for courses. Our content team now has access as a super admin which we want to eliminate if at all possibleI created a power user and gave course edit and view permissions.
My Team Adopters - I need a continued hand.
Howdy folks - I am asking for an assist with voting up something I find myself passionate about lately - which is the My Team tools. One thing that got a nod of evaluating what it would mean to take on is:My ask - drop a few votes on it if you have interest in an improvement from the top level. When we can get the detail to our managers without them having to drill into individual summaries by better leveraging details that could be in the card view? Everyone wins. This was a mockup of what I think could improve the story:Please take the time to vote this one up
Policy Attestations - Are you doing them? How?
Hey everyone, I’ve seen some talk about this in previous posts and would like to bring it up again to determine whether you’ve found a workable way for Docebo to accomplish policy attestations or have found an alternative tool for this purpose. In previous posts I saw a suggestion to use a single question test with one right answer which is quick and easy but unlikely to be useful from a legal perspective. This is our current setup and the legal weakness is why I’m on the hunt for a better solution. I have also looked into the e-signature option and while it seems a bit better it still doesn’t satisfy the need to produce a document with the attestation and some kind of signature on it. Another option and one I like the least is having manual submissions on these where a person verifies a signature and marks a person complete because this will be an enormous time sink for new and annually refreshed policies. At this point I don’t think I can give legal what they want with the LMS and gi
Are you background jobs running?
Since the move to the data lake and the new process of 4hr refreshes, it seems this process is hit and miss...Over the weekend ran some reports and all went fine...today, on 2 separate client site, both reports and other background jobs are completely stalled. Nothing running for hours. Have 2 outstanding tickets…Question to the Community...anyone else experiencing these serious latency issues with reports and b/g jobs?
Is anyone using Cognota?
I'm evaluating a learning operations suite called Cognota.comI was wondering if anyone else ad looked at Cognota. It has some I terestibg features like project management, ROI reports, request tracking and L&D planning. I could tack these items manually, but Cognota appears to have these items ready to go.
