Tune Up Your Task Widgets - Vote now!

Hi everyone - I want to bring your attention to what I believe is an important idea to “Vote Up”.The task widget is a decent implementation and has seen a few tune ups delivered - but one that is critical at my org is how things get to the deadlines portion of the widget and more importantly how we believe learning objects should stay there as an option.Well - I wrote something up the other day that describes the current state behavior in detail.Task List Widget - Add Option | keep courses marked with a due date in Deadlines until completed | Community (docebo.com)If I can encourage you to take a moment and vote it up? We would super appreciate it. Even 10 votes is enough to keep it on the radar better. There are probably a few more things that would make it have even better sense:Instead of showing just the status of “Enrolled” - maybe show a KPI simliar to teams - Overdue, Due Soon. Break out the Deadlines to its own prefiltered view of My Courses/Learning Plans page. Option to not s

Best practice for setting up a "Functionality Rollout" session

Our team is starting to host various “Functionality” Trainings. These trainings will vary in audience. Currently just People Managers, but eventually, will include Team Members as well. All are end users of the platform. We will offer 4 options per session. For example, if we want to do a session on Observation Checklists. The topic would be the Checklists, and learners have 4 options for which session they will attend (different days and times).This will turn into a series that we plan to have more sessions, all related to functionality. The set up will be the same to allow them to sign up for the option that best fits their schedule. How would I best set up this ILT so that learners can enroll is the session that best suits their schedule? As well as be able to sign up for future sessions? Does it need to be separate ILT courses? I need to take into consideration reporting as well.

Scholarship Programs?

I’m wondering if anyone manages a scholarship program and how you handle time limits for your scholarship learners, if you have one.  We offer a scholarship with the agreement that you’ll register for your first VILT within 6 weeks and complete the learning plan within 6 months. But it’s proving really difficult to track. We’ve started to code scholarships amounts as additional fields and we use our creation dates to give us an idea of when they started. But it’s still super cumbersome.  How are other people handling similar programs if at all?

"Chatty LMS Syndrome"? Or Less is More?

I have always been worried about a system that is too chatty.When I came to work for my current org? I found that the one largest learning system instance had a user enrolled notification was essentially set on full blast with all courses triggering notifications (that I eventually helped to shut down). To many it felt horrible, if you enrolled yourself, you got an email. If someone else enrolled you? You got an email. If the course was part of a learning plan?? A person got two or more emails. Working at places 10X the size of where I am currently at makes me know that larger organizations dont stand for it and will even cap system notifications if they seem like they are being spoofed.IMHO - that's not the way to configure things. I truly believe in the mantra that “less is more”. It is more powerful when you deploy targeted notifications to campaigns and onboarding programs. This paired with protecting the function of a manager to have an option to deploy a notification to only thei

Hello, I would like to know if its possible for someone who has access to a SCORM file to edit it after beeing exported. My situation is that i want to give access to my scorm file to a client but I don't want them to be able to edit the content like they want. Thank you !

Closed caption solution

Localization Tools for SCORM authoring | Tool of Choice and Advice

Global Learning Policies

Hi all, We currently do not have any policies in place for learning engagement. We’re looking to create a policy and/or learner agreements when it comes to attending courses. For example, we have a lot of people sign up for a course but then drop out last minute which in turn wastes the money we had spent on the session. Does anyone have a policy that they are currently using that is effective? Best practice for Rise 360 Course Export (SCORM or xAPI)

Forgive me if this has been asked already, but while I’ve seen several posts talking about tracking issues with Rise 360 courses, I’ve not found one that details best practices for export.Apart from knowing xAPI is a newer standard than SCORM, I’m far from an expert at the pros/cons of each format, and even less of an expert with each version. In my testing, while I’ve read Docebo can have trouble indexing xAPI for its global search, I’ve personally not found the SCORM content indexes particularly well for me either.In that way, what is the recommended format for Rise 360 courses published to Docebo? SCORM or xAPI?If SCORM, what version & edition works best/is recommended?Thanks for any insights you’re able to offer.

Ideas and alternative tools for building course content

Hi everyone, We’re about 6 months into our journey with Docebo, and we are starting to onboard other Power Users in the organization who will be responsible for building department-specific content for segments of our learner population. Within our L&D team (2 people) we have subscriptions to Articulate 360 and build most of our courses using Rise. The cost is about $1400/user annually. We want to empower our other Power User content authors to own their content and build/publish it themselves (because my team isn’t built to handle every request) but we can’t afford Articulate licenses for everyone (though a couple teams have invested). Further, while we have Shape, it can sometimes pose a learning curve or barrier to creating content beyond the limitations of Shape. I’ve demo’d how Power Users should think about a course as being able to contain all different types of Training Materials, but I still feel like there’s more we could offer. So my questions: What tools (free or paid,

Storyline 360 question

Howdy,Working on a Knowledge Resource that we are building out as a SCORM course.This is a deep knowledge type of a resource….and I had a need to break out some of the work to others.So I had someone work on the glossary….but it was the glossary in the classic player (dont kill me on the design choice 😁).I know how to bring projects into each other - but has anyone ever worked on lifting a glossary from one player to the next file and merge the two?I am thinking I need to effectively delete all the old “slides” and import all the ones from my file so I can use “his” player.Am I crazy? Please advise….

Automation App Message: CSecurityManager requires PHP mcrypt extension to be loaded in order to use data encryption feature.

Hi - since Friday - instead of our regular messages back from the automation app, it looks like we have been getting this error message.For the most part? It looks like our business continues to run - and users are being created by our integrations...have you all heard anything else about this? Because even though I reported this to Docebo Support - the message back was not a clear one other than it is recognized as an issue by the dev team and there is a task to investigate further.Here is a ticket reference: 686958.

Someone smarter than me - Try copying/pasting any report table from preview?

Was trying a temporary workaround while there are some latency issues with the platform today (on Valentines Day 2024 - Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!!).Currently? We are trying to get a report where we know there wasnt more than a hundred learners (so the preview should cover what we need).I tried to highlight copy and paste into excel, but the line breaks are all screw-y and information that should have been collected into columns all came along in the first row. I tried pasting it with and without formatting and it is a no go.Example of output of information from the Report in PreviewSomebody has had to screen scrape a table successfully….wondering if YOU figured out how to make it work.

Does anyone use 3rd-party Tier 1 support providers that they'd recommend?

Hi, everyone.We just recently signed with Docebo and we’re in the process of onboarding. The LMS we’re leaving had Tier 1 support available via phone/chat/email to support learner’s questions (password resets, “where’s my course?”, etc.) and now we’re looking for good 3rd-party Tier 1 support companies that we can have support our Docebo implementation. We’re not necessarily stuck on needing phone/chat/email support, but that’s our starting point. If anyone has experience with this topic and can recommend a company they’ve used to provide Tier 1 support for their Docebo implementation, I’d love to hear about it. We’re entertaining a few candidate companies right now, but I thought I’d take advantage of the Docebo Community to see if there are other companies we should be aware of. Thanks for any feedback you can offer. Erich

Best Practices - Managing Pages and Menus

I’m in the middle of doing some page updates/cleaning up and I am stuck trying to figure out which single menu a page is associated to and I’m stuck jumping between menus trying to figure out where it lives. This made me realize - we need to adopt some best practices for page and menu management!Does anyone have any tips they would like to share when it comes to organizing and tracking which pages are associated to which menu?

I am curious how others organize their learning material to best support learning.Here is my scenario: Large amount of learning resources (videos, slides, PDF, quizzes and certification exam) Multiple audiences with different requirements (NEW vs Experienced but new to company vs. Returning)My objectives are to organize the training to:best utilizes adult learning theory to support actual learning and adoption keep it structured and well organized Not have a list so long that it becomes intimidating or discouraging at any given point make it audience specific  A New inspector with no experience and needing everything gets what they need in the order they need it An EXPERIENCED inspector only gets what they need, without all of the foundational material A RETURNING inspector who previously completed the training only gets UPDATE material (what has changed in the past year?) Alternative to Tasks Widget - approaches

Hi everyone - I know as we get creative, folks support their own approach with posing to people what content they have due in a queue.And - that’s great….we have been supporting the tasks widget for years and are at a place where people are used to nuance.Now we are finding that we are walking a tenuous line as we balance the fact that once a course goes beyond its validity dates? It is removed from the deadlines portion of the task list.So I wanted to see - how do you all manage around this Docebo-ism? Cant call it a bug. Its a “Docebo” thing.A better state/behavior is that anything that reaches the Deadlines portion and is given a soft deadline in the task widget is not removed until the learner has completed it.
