Discrepancies between Course Management view and Course-User Report

When we first went live, we had Docebo create several hundred “shell” courses for us. Now we are 6+ months in and it’s clear that any remaining shell courses that haven’t been turned into actual courses are probably unnecessary. Before I clear them out, I plan to pull a report showing which shell courses created on 5/16/2023 are still out there. I have seen that I can do this with an API (and I’m up for the challenge thanks to @Bfarkas) but I’m wondering:Is there a way to just pull the report without an API? (There appears to be no export on the Course Management page that I can see) Why does the (New Reports) Course-User report show hundreds fewer courses than the Course Management page? Why does the (New Reports) Course-User report show none of my shell courses? (Is it because they were just imported as a CSV on the backend, but they were never actually accessed, thus they’re not “real” in some important way?)Thanks for the info!

Data in Course Management vs New Reports

I was trying to get the number of published courses with users enrolled from Course Management using the available filters, and I also exported Users-Courses report to get the same data using the same parameters. However, there is a discrepancy of 300+ with the numbers in New Reports with Course Management, higher number would be in New Reports. Am I missing something?

Why can't I assign a notification to an enrollment rule?

Is anyone able to assign a “user has been enrolled in a learning plan” email notification to an enrollment rule (branch/learning plan)? The only notifications I seem to be able to assign are “Digest: user has been enrolled in a course” … and with 20 courses in my learning plan that makes for an ugly email 😣.I have signed into the specific tenant before creating the notification.Just feels like a ‘bug’ …

Can I turn off or remove this certifcation option?

Hi!I am testing out recertifications for courses and under My Activities>Certification>I clicked on the Renew Now button and saw at the bottom an option to “submit a new external activity valid for this certification...”. This is an internal course that they must retake so this should not be an option. I could not find a place where I could remove this option? Is it possible and if so, where do I do that? Thank you.

Help - Looking for ideas on an issue with required training

I have to enroll all employees in required training. However, we have a small group of 15 that we are unable to authenticate into the platform yet due to email domain issues.  We use Active Directory to authenticate and this group is not in the directory due to this. Is there a way to provide a link to this training that is located in the platform without the authentication into it? Looking for ideas on how someone else may have done a workaround for this either inside or outside of Docebo. The course is a set of videos and a SCORM file with a quiz that was created in Articulate Rise

How to handle reporting on report access and download

Curious on how the community has solutioned for tracking the activity of Power Users in the learn platform. Such as when they are pulling reports. I’ve reviewed the list of events the new audit trail covers, but nothing seems be to a good fit.We invest time and effort in creating and managing the robust reporting available to us in the learn platform, but admins have no clear way to identify how or how often these reports are being used.Hoping this community can share some ideas that will help us track this functionality in our platform whether with the audit trail, learn data, etc…thanks!

Automated Enrollment for New Hires (by job title)

Hey friends!I am trying to group multiple “clauses” or conditions to create a group and am running into a wall. Please help if you can! Scenario:I have a course that needs to be automatically “assigned” to new users who (a) are in specific job titles and (b) are in the United States. I have 120 total job titles that need to be included in this auto-enrollment. What I have tested so far . . .(1) Created a group with 2 rule sets[All of the sets below must be satisfied]> Ruleset 1: User’s [Region] = US & Canada> Ruleset 2: User’s [Job Title] = (list of 100 job titles)*Note that Ruleset 2 had to be created with 10 different conditions because there was a 10 item [job title] limit per conditionThis worked as expected! Group was populated with 206 users.However, I then tried to add the remaining 20 job titles, and this is where I experienced issues. Because I could only add 10 conditions x 10 job titles in the first ruleset, I had to test adding another ruleset. (2) Created a group

Web conferencing Sync Error when importing

Use Case: We import our sessions into our ILT courses. We are moving from WebEx to MS Teams. If there’s a sync error between Docebo and the web conferencing tool, the class cannot launch. Does anyone know of a way to determine post-import if there were any sync errors so we can correct them before the session start time?

Reporting on the Central Repository - Last Updated

We are looking to review our LMS content more systematically, and the Central Repository offers a tantalizing piece of data … Last Update.But how can I use that information? I can’t seem to find a way to pull it into a report or even to just export it.The Training Materials report gives me the “current version” data, but that is course-type info, not repository-type info.

HTML/CSS Homepage Question

Hello,I am new to HTML and CSS. I have been going through the resources in the community and on Docebo University. I stumbled across the layout below for the beginning of a homepage…I would like to have something similar, if possible (banner with our company logo on a background that also shows some of the user’s information - full name, email, position, and if possible, their time zone).Any ideas on how I can do this? It was not explained on the recorded webinar shared on Docebo University.  Any help would be appreciated :) Thanks!

Hide some buttons

Hi,We are using Shopify for the ecommerce portion of our business. Therefore, we don’t want users to see the “add to cart” button on the course page to register.We tried a code to hide the button. It works but also hides the “Sign in” button of the login page. Is there a way around this? Thanks!

Using Docebo as a collaboration tool

My organization is looking at a way for employees to be able to connect by having each of us build a profile that would list not only our names and titles but also what we do/work on. I know in Docebo there is the option to create fields in the user profile but once the profiles are built, would employees who are not Power Users or Super Admins be able to search for employees to view their profile?  Thank you,Amber

Keeping cancelled sessions around for tracking...

Question I can’t seem to find an answer to: We have sessions that we have to cancel (say 15 days prior to start).  I want to keep the session in the list so I can track it’s existence. We have a way to mark it as “Cancelled” in Docebo, but users can still see it. What are the best ways to “keep” the session without deleting it, but ensure that no one can enroll in it or see it in the session lists?

Can you show external training additional fields to users?

I can add additional fields to the entry from for External Training. The system records the values, and I can report on them as an admin. How do I expose them to users? When a user views their external training, they see only the system fields and not the additional fields. There is no way for them to download the transcript or otherwise get to the additional files. I have discovered if I leave them in a pending state the user can edit/view them. This is not a good option on two levels; 1) it sends the message that the training is not accepted/valid. 2) users can edit them impacting downstream reporting. Anyone faced this problem?

Most efficient way to add course widgets in bulk?

Many of our courses do not currently have the course description widget added, meaning that once a user is enrolled, the course description is not visible to them. This is highly problematic, because we have been recording important information about our courses in the course description field, and furthermore we use enrollment rules extensively, which essentially means that nobody can see the descriptions at all.So, we want to add the course description widget to just about all of our courses now. And yet I can’t find a way to do this in bulk. When I query the API for an individual course (either the old learn endpoint or the newer courses endpoint), I get a lot of information for a given course, but almost nothing about the course widgets. I did find GET/learn/v1/courses/[{id}/widgets but unlike some GET requests in the API Browser, attempting to send a PUT request through to the same endpoint doesn’t work (I got a 404 error).So I’m starting to feel pretty sure that this is a (rare)

CSV Upload to Mark Couse Complete with a completion date

We have the use case where we offer a VILT course - not through Docebo, I edit and convert the recorded version to an elearning course so that others can take it in the future or those that attended live and re watch it. I want to record the VILT attendance and include it in the new elearning course and I see how to enroll users via CSV that attended the VILT live but to mass mark complete, it doesn’t seem like I can choose the completion date unless I individually go in and mark each person. Is that true or did I miss something? Also, since I am uploading this elearning course 1-2 days after they attended the VILT, is there an issue with me enrolling them 1-2 days after the VILT and then marking them complete 1-2 before they were actually enrolled via CSV upload because they attended the VILT course which already occurred?

Extended Enterprise and deep links to courses

I am experimenting with using a deep link on one of my courses that is part of a specific tenant in Docebo Learn.  When I create the enrollment link I get the URL for the Docebo instance, rather than the URL for my tenant. I don’t seem to be able to edit the URL, and when I use it, it brings me back to the login screen (for our instance). The self-registration option has been removed from that login screen because we need all users to be in a tenant branch.Are there any options for me?

Apply Background Image to Entire Portal

Hello, all! Is it possible to add a simple background image to the portal? We are going to try and make some subtle changes to user interface by adding a simple background image each month or two, based on upcoming holidays, etc. For winter, I’m thinking it’ll be a light blue bg with small snowflakes. I cannot find anything in the Help Files or Community. Has anyone done something like this?

Gamification solutions for Power Users

Hi all.I’d love to incorporate more gamification in the platform, but given the limited authority extended to Power Users in this field, I’m at a loss coming up with some solutions that don’t require a lot of time commitment for my small team of Super Admins. Does anyone have a workaround for this, even third-party tools or anything, that allows more direct contribution & management for the SAs?Thanks!

To be considered “certified” our learners must complete two VILT’s, multiple e-Learning modules, and an assessment. They will have additional e-Learning modules in their learning plan that are not attached to the initial certification but must be completed within 60 days. Once all modules have been completed, they will receive a learning plan certificate of completion.  What is the best way to build this out?I tried a true learning plan but had issues with adding two certifications (one to be certified, and the other for completing the learning plan). I tried a course, but I couldn’t figure out how to make both VILT’s a requirement for the certification. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
