Locking down profiles?

We have some specifications that require that our email addresses follow a specific pattern. We just noticed that a few of our users have gone into their profiles and changed their emails. Is there any way we can lock down profiles so users can’t change them?

Link to a specific widget on a page

I was wondering if it was possible to create a link that goes to a specific widget on a page? For example if you are at the top of the page you could click a button and it would take you to the correct section on the page. We have html blocks so in theory I could make a button I’m just not sure how to get the link or if it’s even possible.

Limit certain courses for a Power User

Is there a way to give a Power User editing rights for one course catalog but not another? We have a HR Power User that would like to run reports of all the courses that a staff member has taken.We have our product trainings in a separate course category than their HR courses. Only the product training Power User should be able to edit the product trainings. We put the HR courses in the HR Power User’s permissions under resource type but if we add the product trainings there, they can also edit those courses but if do not add this to the resources, they can’t run a report with those courses.We just want to add the product trainings as a resource so that they can run reports to include those courses but do not want them to have editing rights. I can’t seem to do this with their Power User profile.

Is it possible to track visits/clicks for Enrollment Links?

Hello,From time to time, when we create a new Course, we put news about it on our Docebo’s main page (in the custom-made News section).We always include an Enrollment Link (deep link) to said course; however, at the moment it is hard for us to tell how many clicks it generates. Do you know about any way to keep track of this? Perhaps using a third-party tool to change the link while redirecting?Unfortunately, Google Analytics doesn’t show us any results for Enrollment Links and standard link to the course is not exactly the same as it also shows the general amount of views (from my courses and course catalog sections).

Is it possible to remove the Share Content and Ask the Expert icons from the Channels pages?

We would like to launch using channels but at this time we do not want to allow everyone the ability to upload content or ask questions on the platform.  We would like to remove the two icons that show at the top right for sharing content and asking the expert from the All Channels page and the actual channels when they are opened up.  Does anyone know how to do this? Because they are built in there isn’t an option to turn them off like you can when you build your own page.  I could build my own page though it would mean a lot of manual work and then when people click on the channel they would still end up seeing these two icons.  We could launch with them there as I know we can restrict who shared content but the challenge is that it is still there, the user can still click on it and go through the motions of uploading but then they get to the end and there is no channel to add it to.  So if I can restrict it why can I not just remove this as an option to avoid confusion?

Duplicating ILT Course Shells - Shhhhh keep it a secret

So I have seen many mention that they could not duplicate ILT courses but could duplicate e-learning courses. And I have experienced the same thing. However, if you use the API Explorer you can actually duplicate any type of course...including ILT. It does not duplicate sessions or anything like that, but just the shell. So through the API we can duplicate any type of course and you can actually select if you want the training material duplicated as well. It is not the cleanest solution, but until Docebo let’s us do it through the UI it can save a lot of time.Keep it a secret though...if Docebo hears about it they may retire that API end point and screw us all ;)

Looking for best practices from Docebo Connect with Udemy Business

Community, We configured with Docebo 2 yrs ago.  Right now we are working on installing/configuring Docebo Connect for Udemy for Business.  We were thinking we wanted to customize the integration to map to Docebo Catalogs and to limit the number of Udemy courses we make available in a more curated fashion to different audiences.   We were told we could do this.  Now looking at the recipes it is not clear that we can.  And perhaps worse so, based on some experiences I’ve read doing that lift did not result in the desired user experience.    We are open to making config changes in our Docebo implementation but it’s not clear what we should consider to make the user experience better with Udemy.   Welcome others input on their experiences and recommendations. thank you,Mary Roche@NamrataSingh @chrisbarsoum

Using the Content Partners App to offer discounts on courses

A creative way to offer instant discounts on your courses via the Content Partners app.We needed a way to apply a universal discount to groups of branches without using coupons. I came across the Content Partners app and found that you can create a discount “profile” that allows those authorized branches to see discounted prices all the while keeping the regular price visible to users who are not part of those branches. It’s like a workaround to provide different prices on courses without actually creating copies of the same course.You can create several different content partners that offer different discounts as needed. Each content partner entry can be specific to particular set of courses as well as a specific set of branches. Once set up, users who are aligned under the affiliates tab instantly see a discounted price and there is no need to issue or manage coupons. Newsletter HTML - Best Practice

This is an HTML template that I shared with one of the old “Global Success Digest” newsletters that we used to send. It would require some sort of HTML editor and some copy/paste to edit it, but it’s worked well for me in the past with clients.I’ve seen clients use this to announce new initiatives in learning or events, engage with select groups/branches for a specific purpose, or also manage their platform related comms overall. I was wondering if you can guide me on the coupon functionality. We have a Partner Program coming up and need guidance on the same as this involves almost 25K Partners.I would like to basically create two batches of single use coupons (250 each) for 5-6 different paid courses in Docebo. I see this possibility via API but it asks me details on usernames.Unfortunately these need to be random codes that any user could use as a one time purchase.Any used cased scenarios or sample body would be more than appreciated! :)

Smartsheet and Docebo integration

Hi all, We started using Smartsheet internally to track our projects. My team handles new hires as well as ongoing education. We initially thought we only use Smartsheet to track our ongoing education project until I stumbled upon this link: Smartsheet + LMS Integrations | Sync up Using Docebo ConnectI’m curious if anyone has configured Smartsheet and Docebo integration and if so, what are some of the pros and cons? We’d like to see if we can integrate our new hire learning paths and courses to a smartsheet that can then be viewed by the respective manager to review their progress. I’ve searched other posts but I don't think anyone has brought up Smartsheet yet. Building Certificates? --> Here Are Some Things I Learned

I recently went through setting up some certificates for some well deserved learning accomplishments.Here are some take-aways that I thought might be helpful for others (At least until that portion is overhauled).Your Visual Editor, Source Code Editor, and PDF preview Are Not Friends Just a heads up - I needed to hop back and forth between all of these several times to tweak things the way I needed. It was time consuming. Many HTML attributes and inline CSS styling look great in the visual editor but are then ignored when you preview in the PDF.  I initially attempted to use pixel precision using margins and padding but those didn’t help. Also nice things like using a horizontal rule have strange effects when you go to PDF.   The Table Is Your Friend - But There Are Still Rules I ended up using tables to space out the information and line things up. Don’t be fooled by what you see in the visual editor, though. A single cell on the left with the date that is justified to the right so th

How can leaners tell they are on the waitlist?

Hi!We used to only use the Webinar course type, but recently switched to ILT. In the webinar course type, when a learner was waitlisted, their thumbnail said “Waiting User”. Maybe we changed something in the localization tool to make that happen, I can’t remember. However, now that we are in ILT, all of those users just show “STARTED” on their thumbnail. Users that are enrolled show STARTED too. We have an article explaining that if they see this, they are on the waitlist, but if they see the bottom one they are ENROLLED in the session, but I hoping there is a better way! Please tell me someone out here has a better way for learners to tell they are on the waitlist. Waitlisted for Session Enrolled in Session

Pulling data from ALL surveys using the API

As you all know, fetching information about responses to surveys is a “bit” painful task, as there is no report or single UI allowing you to get it for multiple courses and/or surveys. In our system we have course evaluation surveys added to each course (around 250 courses and counting), most of the courses use the same survey added from the central repository, however, some have their own surveys.Of course tracking user responses, by navigating to each course and downloading the file is time consuming and is not a feasible solution, as we want to analyze feedback weekly and quickly react to any issues and comments. Below I’d like to share with you my approach to solving that problem by using Docebo API (I can’t share the full code of the Python script that I wrote for that, but given this outline any skilled developer should be able to create a similar tool). My goal was to create a solution, which would automatically pull data from ALL surveys across ALL courses and save the response

Is there a way to refresh all zoom errors for a learning plan at once?

Hi all,We are currently experiencing Zoom synchronization issues with Docebo. For each session within an ILT course, I have to manually  resave the session so that the zoom link will re-sync. There has to be a better of way of doing this? Has anyone created an API to refresh these errors?

How to Add Due Dates on Learning Plans when Enrolling

Hello - we have several customers who like to enroll their employees into learning plans and they want to have due dates on the enrollments. The only way I can figure how to do that is to enroll the users, and then one by one edit each enrollment to add the due dates. When our customers have to do that for 100 enrollments, they get a little grouchy. Is there a better way?

ILT course instructors - can you edit/remove leavers

Good morningI have just noticed that when I access one of our live learning (ILT) courses (that has many sessions) the course instructors area shows all instructors including those that have now left the business and therefore are inactive in Docebo. Is there a way to remove these people from the course instructors details?  Thanks Lucy

Can you "follow" an ILT course for future sessions?

Is there a way for a learner to “follow” an ILT course without enrolling into it and be notified when a session is created for that ILT course? For example, I have a people manager who wants to be notified when a session is available for courses so they can enroll their direct reports into the session, but currently there is only a notification for ILT session created that is sent to learners already enrolled into a course. Is there a notification or a workaround that anyone is using for users to select to be notified without enrolling into a course and without sending a notification to everyone (just those who have selected to be notified)?Thanks!Julie

Learning plan, course validity periods, and expiration notifications

Hey everyone, We launched back in February with a single learning plan and have added a number of individual offerings since then, but we have found it a bit difficult to motivate learners who dropped off at various courses in the learning plan to continue.  The situation with individual courses is a bit better since I set soft validity periods by enrollment date and have an enrollment notification + 3 reminders go out based on x days before expiration. Another group at my company is interested in using a Learning Plan as a container for a curriculum, but I have concerns about notifications since learning plans mass enroll users in associated courses. A fixed expiration date for a course is a non-starter since we will be adding new-hires over time. An validity period based on enrollment date seems like the best option as long as I add the original period to each subsequent course so Course 1 expires in 15 days Course 2 expires in 30 days Course 3 expires in 45 days Course 4 expires in

Using a Blog for a Forum

I have a request from a partner/user group who would like to have an open forum within Docebo where their users can ask and answer questions (basically the same as this community) that is not tied to an asset or a course.   Does anyone have a set up where they provide this type of forum in their LMS right now?  I am curious how you are doing it and what sites/set up you have for it.
