Managing Automatic Groups
We have found that when you have a large number of automatic groups, it can be quite challenging to manage them, especially when troubleshooting issues. We also manage these on behalf of many power users since they cannot do this themselves therefore it is critical that we know what attributes are being used by each group. Rather than managing an external spreadsheet, we use the Group Description field to log the rules...it looks something like this: Org Level 1 = MO - Middle Office + Company Code = ACME This has proved invaluable to us.
Trick for working with EPS images in PowerPoint
Ever have a vector image that you’d like to tweak slightly -- like change a background color or move/delete some element from the image? You can certainly do that with Adobe Photoshop or other hefty image editor but here’s some info on how to do it if you’re like me -- a small shop with no design expertise or expensive software on hand. Once I find a vector image I like from one of my stock image libraries and if it is not already available as an SVG file, I download it as an EPS file. Now you can’t insert an EPS image into PowerPoint but you can insert an SVG file. So first, convert the EPS to SVG using www.cloudconvert.com. This is a nifty little site that allows you to convert all kinds of file types. It’s super easy and FREE! Once you convert your EPS to an SVG, you can insert it just as any image in PowerPoint but because it’s an SVG, you can ungroup all the elements of the image and edit individual parts of the image. When you’re done, group all the elements and Save as Picture a
Morning!Does anyone know if there’s a way to change the wording of the pop-up notification that users receive when they register? Example below:I know you can go to Localization Tools and find a list of default notifications, but I need to know where I can change these settings so that our users receive the notification we want them to.At the moment they are receiving the default one that asks them to click on a link to confirm registration, but we’re not using this method to load users onto our platform. We’ve gone down the moderated self-registration route whereby the superadmin approves.Any help most welcome.Thanks...Rich
Is it possible to track visits/clicks for Enrollment Links?
Hello,From time to time, when we create a new Course, we put news about it on our Docebo’s main page (in the custom-made News section). We always include an Enrollment Link (deep link) to said course; however, at the moment it is hard for us to tell how many clicks it generates. Do you know about any way to keep track of this? Perhaps using a third-party tool to change the link while redirecting?Unfortunately, Google Analytics doesn’t show us any results for Enrollment Links and standard link to the course is not exactly the same as it also shows the general amount of views (from my courses and course catalog sections).
Changing the Default Language
Hi everyone,I’ve decided to change the default language from English to English_UK to reduce the number of helpdesk tickets I receive complaining all the UI elements and pages have incorrect spelling in Australia. The great thing is Docebo Learn does allow for localisation and I jumped in. Here are some of my learnings from doing this for those of you perhaps thinking about doing something like this.I used the “user mass edit” tool to change the default language for everyone. I noted that it took way too long as we have 5500+ users and I wasn’t sure it was working. I then did it in batches by user groups of 100s at a time which worked better, but still took a long time. Time to do this aside, the lesson here for me was to work out what I needed to do in localising the language before I jumped in and changed this! So back a few steps now. I wasn’t really sure what parts of the LMS I needed to ensure I had both the current default language text updated and any new default language I wa
How can we use Docebo to track learner's needs/gaps?
How can we configure some parts of Docebo (search, channels, widgets…?) to capture what people want to learn and cannot find in our platform? The scenario is that the learner is looking for something, cannot find it, can easily state somewhere what they are looking for (their learning need or a gap in our offerings) and then as admins, we can easily see all those requests/needs accumulated somewhere so over time we may see trends or top asks.
Getting started with notifications
Just trying to get a handle on which notifications are the best to use. What are you favorites and why? Reason I ask - I want to assign courses (enroll users to courses and/or catalogues) and I am not clear on what notifications to use to complete ‘the package’ so to speak.
Learning Plans with pre-requisites and blended modality
We have several learning plans that have pre-requisite plans and offer both eLearning and webinars in the same program. We’ve had to repost training dates on the learning plan description in order for someone to see upcoming dates. Training dates also don’t show up in the calendar when in a learning plan. Learners are confused about our programs and don’t know how to plan for training, what order to do things in and when to pick dates, despite instructions on screen. Is anyone else using learning plans that require other learning plans as a pre-requisite or have webinars in learning plans? How are you working through that?
While the pandemic is still ongoing, we at Getronics have tried helping our teams in many different ways. One of the most hardest hit groups of employees has been parents caring for young children. In order to help the team and keep the little ones occupied we have developed a new page in Docebo; called kid’s zone. The page is dedicated to kids with lots of activities that they can do while parents are busy. We also have launched story time during lunch so that kids can have someone reading a story to them during their break.

Low budget great results Let me know what software you are using.
Driving Social Learning through Discover Coach and Share
We are really trying to drive the social learning aspect of our platform. We have had very little participation so far, and am in the process of developing a contest to award badges and items people can cash in for rewards in the shop. I’m interested to hear and see how others are using their coach and share platform and how you drive learner engagement. We’ve been considering using it for scenario training for managers surrounding HR topics, where managers would be asked to record how they would respond to specific situations and then submit for review and feedback.
